Hopefully that will improve with native LR and PS apps that are promised. The app offers powerful photo editing features in an easy-to-use interface. Create incredible photos and videos anywhere with Lightroom and 1TB of cloud storage. Other than that LR and PS work well for my needs but work flow is no quicker than on my 10 year old MacBook running Catalina. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is a powerful photo and video editor that empowers you to edit, organize, store, and share your photos and videos across desktop, mobile, and web. None of my Topaz products work with the new system but they promise native support “within a few months”. Extra steps but at least I have a workaround. The same thing happens when I save from PS. I am able to then move the imported image into the folder I intended and the second listing for my hard drive disappears. Instead a second folder listing the name of my hard drive is created and the imports are put into it in a subfolder with the same name as the one I was trying to import into. My biggest issue with LR is that any import does not go into the folder on my external drive that I choose. Even the double click was once absolutely a procedure that many didn´t find all that intuitive. The most strange is to use the Start-icon to Stop the computer. I have found that my Epson 3880 printer works with the latest software update however there is an an error message about a missing usb mass driver. There are absolutely some very strange procedures Microsoft have chosen to use, some are history and some are still there. I use the desktop based Lightroom classic which is up to date. As it relates to M1 Macs Apple is famously mum about technical details, and hasn’t provided a TBW rating or any other data about the SSD inside the M1 Macs. I have a new M1 Mac with Big Sur installed.
